Pick 6 Overview
Pick 6 is a NJ draw game featuring a jackpot that begins at $2 million, progressively increasing until won! An enhanced Pick 6 was launched in 2022. Updates included a reduced number pool, improved odds, the addition of an XTRA multiplier, the introduction of the Double Play option boasting a $250,000 grand prize, and an increased ticket price of $2.
Drawings are held on Monday and Thursday evenings around 10:57 pm EST. Ensure your buy your ticket by 10:53 pm on draw days to participate in that evening's draw.
The cost of an entry is $2. For an extra $1 you can opt for the Double Play feature which gives you a chance to win up to $250,000 in a separate draw.
How to Play NJ Pick 6
To participate, select six numbers ranging from 1 to 46, or opt for Quick Pick to have numbers generated randomly. You can enter up to 26 successive draws thanks to the Multi Draw option. Simply indicate the number of games in the Multi Draw section on your ticket.
Decide on your preferred prize payout method if you win. With the Cash Option, you receive the prize pool amount as a lump sum. If you choose Annuity, you will get the entire advertised jackpot amount in multiple yearly instalments.
XTRA
Introduced in 2015, the XTRA multiplier feature became a part of Pick 6. Initially offered as an add-on, XTRA is now integrated automatically with all $2 Pick 6 plays. With XTRA, the value of any non-jackpot prizes you win can increase by up to 10 times. For instance, if the drawn number is 10, all non-jackpot prizes are multiplied by that amount. XTRA is applicable to both Pick 6 and the Double Play add-on.
Double Play
Interested in winning up to $250,000 in cash? Add the Double Play option to your Pick 6 ticket for an additional $1 per play. Following each Pick 6 draw, a separate Double Play draw takes place. You have the opportunity to win on Pick 6, Double Play, or both!
