Millionaire for Life is a daily lottery which works differently to other NJ games as it offers a top prize worth $1 million a year for life, and a secondary prize of $100,000 a year for life. How to Play

It could not be simpler to play Millionaire for Life. All you need to do is select five main numbers and one millionaire ball, and you're on the way to taking part. A full step-by-step guide is outlined below. Each play costs $5.

• Pick five numbers from 1 to 58 and a Millionaire Ball between 1 and 5. Get a Quick Pick if you would rather have a random selection than choose your own.
• Use the Multi-Draw section to enter up to 10 consecutive drawings.
• Enjoy the draw and see what happens. Be sure to check your ticket thoroughly against the results.

Millionaire for Life drawings take place at 11:15 PM ET. Ticket sales close at 10:15 PM. Keep in mind that if you are in another state, the cut-off time may be different.

Odds and Prizes

There are nine ways to win in Millionaire for Life, so prizes start from matching just one main number and the Millionaire Ball. The value of payouts increases as you match more numbers, and the top two prizes have an annuity option or a cash option.

If you match all six numbers, you can choose to receive $1 million a year day for life, or a lump sum of $18 million. If you match all five main numbers without the Millionaire Ball, your options are $100,000 a year for life or $2.2 million as a lump sum.

With the annuity option, there is a minimum duration of 20 years, so the remaining money would go to a winner's estate if they died early.
